Borik
Borik is a residential area of Rovinj with family houses with gardens and lots of trees. There is no through traffic (dead end streets), so it is quiet and family-friendly. There is a small supermarket and a fresh fruit and vegetable stand, where you can get your daily supplies only 150 m away from our house. There are also a few restaurants within the walking distance of our house, as well as some more at the beach. The old town of Rovinj is 2,5 km away and can be easily reached in ca. 5 minutes by car, 10-15 minutes by bike or 25-30 minutes’ walk at pedestrian path alongside the scenic coast.
The Borik Beach – Val de Lesso
The Val de Lesso beach is easily reached on foot in only a few minutes, either along the forest path of through the village. It is surrounded with pine trees that offer the shade during summer heat. The view of the old town and the island of Figarola is magnificent. It is mostly pebble and stone beach, with easy access to water that make it very suitable for children. The beach is newly equipped with showers and changing rooms, as well as children´s playground in the shadow of old pine trees. There is a beach bar with live music in the evening, the well known restaurant Blue and snack bars next to the beach. One part of the beach is explicitly pet-friendly, i.e. dogs are allowed. Only a few minutes’ walk further along the cost, you reach the Family Hotel Amarin with its wonderfully landscaped gardens, children playgrounds, sport activities, rent-a-boat, rent-a-bike, beach and water sports and much, much more.
